Crystallization of Soluble Proteins Using Vapor Diffusion
- We make use of 96 well plate (3 well-intelliplates) from Art Robbins Instruments for our soluble protein screens. The plates have shown excellent clarity for imaging and overall consistency. The ultra clear sealing film is UV transparent and allows obtaining clear UV images.
- We have variety of screens at the facility that you can use, but you are welcome to use your own home made or commercial screens,
if preferred.
Vapor diffusion crystallization screens >> - The minimum volume for setting up a plate (288 conditions in three different “protein: reservoir” ratios) is 35ul of your pure protein. The initial required protein concentration is 5-15mg/ml.
